If you asked yourself, “What does my body need to stay healthy?” – what would you say?
Generally, you know your body better than anyone and you know what it needs to stay in good health but often we don’t trust our thoughts or ourselves.
Recently I was doing a course in Ortho-Bionomy, a gentle bodywork therapy that supports the self-correcting capacity through gentle positioning and subtle movements. I had a fantastic time, but I had a busy week, and I really didn’t want to go.
So, I decided to shift my expectation and set an intention to create a different outcome which was trusting myself to absorb the information, just like breathing happens, being present and enjoying the process while not overthinking it.
I usually put a lot of pressure on myself to learn, writing notes furiously and doing my best, which is fine, except I don’t know about you, but I find it tiring and ineffective to be in this state of mind.
Afterwards, my mentor Sonia Bavistock asked me, “What was your favourite thing you’ve taken away from this course?” and I said to do things in a way that works for me by trusting my own intuition and intention to achieve a good outcome.
It worked! My intention came true.
And it seems to me that I’m being constantly reminded by circumstances that I can trust myself.
Now, I’m writing this from a place of supporting my clients. The amazing women I get to work with along their health journeys to help them achieve incredible results is such an honour, but one thing they often say to me is they feel like there is something missing.
After experiencing this for myself I’d have to say, trusting in yourself and the intentions you set are the missing pieces.
This is the foundation to feel good!
And I can support these amazing women to the best of my ability by being present within myself to help facilitate their healing but it’s up to the individual woman to have that deep internal trust to make things happen.
There are always health solutions and options available, but it needs to be backed with trust and intention for it to be fully integrated within our body as holistic healthcare.
And this is why I love working with small achievable goals because it gives us a chance to trust and build confidence within ourselves and once we’ve repeated this we know we can achieve our biggest goals.
Because health is as much in the mind as it is in the physical body.
Remember that you are the woman:
Who trusts herself.
Who is present.
Who follows her intuition and intentions.
And knows what her body needs to stay healthy.
To your health and wellness
